"I just got out of my theatre class and the teacher (Sara Morsey) went into a half hour lecture on how the Satellite is the best source for finding out about what was going on in town. She read parts of Shamrock McShane's article (The Play About the Baby – see: newmoonrising.com) and went on to say that Mr. McShane is a journalistic hero who makes his readers actually think instead of spoon feeding them their news and reviews. She strongly recommended that all her students pick it up this and every month."

Dear Cindy,

I have been hearing good things from Sham[rock McShane] about "Christmas from Heck" and enjoyed reading his recent review.

It has been expressed to me by Dan Kahn that several of the Board members are willing to consider working out some of the allegations that have been attributed towards me not allowed to work at the ART. I am all for more positive energy and working towards a common artistic goal. The past three years at UF has taught me more about "collaboration in theatre" than anything related to design or mounting productions. Dan would like me to design lights for "Galileo of Gainesville," and I would like to pay him back the favor for being Frederick Treves in "The Elephant Man."

I would very much like to reconcile any reasonable allegations of which have been attributed to my "blacklisting." Some of which may have impacted by work at the other community theatres in town and may affect my working relationship with Cheryl Valantis and Scot Davis at Expressions Learning Arts Academy.

I feel that working with Dan [Kahn], Rachel [Wayne], and Sham on "Galileo of Gainesville," would be a treat. I would certainly offer a very interesting visual impact for ART audiences for his original work. I hope the last weekend of "Heck" goes over well and we may be able to work things out.

Sincerely,
Mike

Mike,

Your past behavior has conclusively demonstrated that the ART cannot afford the legal and financial liability of your involvement in any role other than as an audience member. We both know what that behavior entailed and I see no reason to belabor the point further.

Regards,
Cindy
